There is so much I haven’t seen—and likely never will—in and around this beautiful planet. But of the little I have managed to witness, I truly believe the world is a beautiful place.

Today, as I reflected on life—on what it has been, or perhaps failed to be—I found myself thinking about the many reasons to celebrate simply being alive. And one truth stood out with clarity: human connections make life worthwhile.

It gets better.

That’s what they say. At least, I’ve heard it said often. Perhaps I’m privileged enough to believe in that possibility, to play around with the idea that it might be true. But based on the things I’ve seen (with my admittedly melancholic temperament), I’ve come to feel that—just as the trees sway, just as the wind blows, the sea rises, and the crickets whisper—there is still so much left to encounter.

There is wonder everywhere.

I’m just so grateful—for people and for nature.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.

Life is beautiful and I am grateful for that.
